Secret Prices and Coupon Codes

Adding a Secret Price

1. Select Sales >> Products from your Simplero Dashboard

2. From the Products list, select the product you want to offer the secret price 

3. Select the Prices tab

4. Add a Secret price by clicking the white + Add a secret price button on the left-hand side under the Secret Prices section or the blue Add a price button in the upper right corner:
   
   
   

5. Complete all relevant fields for the secret price such as Name, Type of price, Amounts, etc:
   
   
   

6. Make sure the Access is set to Secret Link:
   
   
   

7. Click the Create price to save

8. The price is now set-up.  However, it is not available via your product order form. You will need to grab the link from the pricing screen. 
   

   • In the Prices screen, scroll down to the Secret Prices section

   • Click on the Grab the link next to that secret price name:
     
     
     

   • You can then paste the link wherever you want to share it.

Adding Coupon Codes

1. Select Sales >> Products from your Simplero Dashboard

2. From the Products list, select the product you want to offer the secret price 

3. Select the Prices tab

4. Add a Coupon code price by clicking the white + Add a coupon code price button on the left-hand side under the Coupon Code Prices section or the blue Add a price button in the upper right corner:
   
   
   

5. Complete all relevant fields for the Coupon code price such as Name, Type of price, Amounts, etc:
   
   
   

6. Make sure the Access is set to Coupon code. We autogenerate one for you, which you can edit!
   
   
   

7. Click the Create price to save

8. To use this coupon, your customers will paste in the coupon code you provide into the order form and the price will change from whatever list price is selected to the price you typed in on the coupon code. 

NOTE! The coupon code box only shows when there is an available coupon. 

Can I make a price/coupon that's only valid x days after someone subscribed?

Of course! Here's how to do it:

1. Follow the steps above to create the secret/coupon price you want to offer

2. On the Prices tab, scroll down to the Secret and Coupon Code Prices sections

3. Click on Grab the link or the clipboard icon next to the price you want to use:
   
   
   

4. Go to a Broadcast, or a List and select the Auto-Responses tab (create an Auto-Response or click on the one you already have)

5. Place the Secret/Coupon Code link somewhere in the email body and click the Save changes button

6. Scroll down to the Link section and click the Pencil icon to edit so you can set the link to expire
   
   
   

7. In the Options section, turn on Expire link after a certain period after the email is sent and enter the # of minutes/hours/days after the email is sent that you want the link to expire under After how long. That way, the link in the email will only be valid for the given time.

8. Click the Save changes button

NOTE! The underlying link will still work, so if they clicked on it, then saved the link, it'll still work for them.

But then again, they could also just sign up for the list again with another email address. So there's that.

The idea here is not to create a bullet-proof system but to create an incentive to buy while they're hot.

Sales Page for Secret Prices

Do you have a secret price you want to offer to a large group of people and therefore want a sales page linked to it? Generally, for a large group of people, best practice would be to create a coupon code and have them utilise that on your normal sales page/order form.

But if you'd prefer to create it as a secret price with its own sales page, here’s how:

1. Create a landing page. You can do this by creating a standalone landing page within Simplero

2. Add a Button that will be the Call to Action they click on and purchase

3. On the Link for the button, here’s how to grab the link from the Link Picker on pages in the Classic Editor and the 2.0 Builder:
   
   For Classic Editor Pages:
   
   Press Type or select a link on the white bar underneath the Link section and select Products >> Choose the Product >> Prices >> Select the Secret Price >> Choose Order Form:
   
   
   
   For 2.0 Builder Pages:
   
   Make sure your Button Action says “Go-to”, then press Type or select a link on the white bar to the right of the Link section:
   
   
   
   Then select Products >> Choose the Product >> Prices >> Select the Secret Price >> Choose Order Form:
   
   
   

4. OR you can go grab the link manually.
   
   Here’s how to do that:
   

   1. Go back to Sales >> Products from your Simplero Dashboard

   2. From the Products list, select the product with your secret price

   3. Select the Prices tab, locate the Secret price you want to offer and click the Grab the link to copy the URL

   4. Go back to your Landing page and add paste the link in manually to the Link section on the button.
      

5. You are all set, now you can share the URL of this stand-alone landing page and when people click on the button they will be taken to the secret price.
