Social Media Icons

Social Media icons on your Emails and Pages link directly to YOUR social media accounts, so customers can connect with your business on a deeper level outside of Simplero 💥

NOTE! If you’re looking to add Social Sharing buttons that your customers can click to share your pages and emails on their social media accounts, head over to this guide.


Why add Social Media icons to your Sites and Pages

  • They’re another way for you to connect with your current or potential customers.

  • Social media is more interactive than just having a website.

  • They can show how you communicate and engage with your customers.

  • Customers don't just want to visit your website to know who you are and what you offer — they may also go to your Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc. to find out your relationships or interactions with the community.


Simplero offers several places to add your Social Media Icons:

  1. Website and Membership Site Default Footers

  2. Landing Page Default Footers (Using the Classic Editor)

It also offers a custom section for pages using the Classic Editor called Custom Footer with Links that you can add your Social Media Icons to. Jump down the page to learn how to use the Custom Footer with Links.

To use Social Media Icons as part of your Site(s) or Page(s) Footers, you must enter all your social network URLs in the Social profiles section under your Site configuration

Here’s how…


Adding Social Media Icons to your Main Site or Membership Site:

This is where you’ll enter your Social profiles for Facebook, Google+, Instagram, etc. Once you've entered all or some of your social media information, you’ll see the icons on the bottom Default footer of your website (wherever you’re using it).

  1. Head to your Site (Marketing > Main Website or Content > Membership Sites and select the Site).

  2. Select the Configure tab.

  3. Scroll down to the Social profiles section and enter the links to your various social media:

    • Facebook Profile, App ID & Page ID

    • Instagram

    • Youtube

    • TikTok

    • LinkedIn

    • X/Twitter

    • Pinterest

    • Snapchat

    • Vimeo


  4. Scroll to the bottom and click the Save changes button and your Social icons will now appear on the Default footer of your site (wherever you use that footer).


Adding Social Media Icons to your Landing Page:

When you create your landing page, it will automatically use the default footer from your Main Website (with the social media icons you added to the Configure tab of the site above).

NOTE! You can hide the footer altogether by clicking the Appearance tab and selecting Hide footer:



Using a Custom Footer with Links:

Instead of using the Default Footer, Landing Pages and Site Pages that use the Classic Editor have the option to use a section called the Custom Footer with Links instead.

This section allows you to add your social media icons, custom links and custom text directly on the footer!


Here’s how:

  1. On your page, press + Add section:


  2. Select Custom Footer with Links and press Add:


  3. On the left side of the page, you’ll see the following options:

    • Hide the default site footer on this page if it is not already hidden - We automatically check this box, so you don’t end up with two footers on the same page.

    • Padding - Adjust the padding of the footer.

    • Use a custom socials icon colour - The colour of the social media icons will follow the Theme colours for the Page or Site, unless you change the colour here.

    • Add/Edit/Remove Social Links and Footer Links - Customise your Social Media Icons and other links in the Footer.


  4. On the right side of the page, click on the footer directly to edit the text:
