Having affiliates market for you is awesome. They refer customers to you, you both make money, and the customer gets a product that really helps them in their lives. It's easy for your affiliate, it's easy for you, and you only pay a commission on the sales you actually make.
Much better than paid advertising where you pay per click, no matter whether you make a sale or not.
Some great affiliates also have networks of other great affiliates, and they can help you by making introductions, so you get even more affiliates to refer customers to you.
But how does that affiliate benefit from that? Until now, they haven't.
However, now they can have affiliates register using their own personal affiliate registration link, and they'll get a cut of the commission. How much is up to you to decide, but 5% is pretty typical.
You also get to decide whether that comes out of the downstream affiliate's commission, or it comes out of your take-home amount.
So if affiliates normally get 30%, and the upstream affiliate gets 5%, you could make this become…
25% to the downstream affiliate, 5% to the upstream affiliate, and 70% to you
30% to the downstream affiliate, 5% to the upstream affiliate, and 65% to you, etc.
It’s up to you how you want to do it.
Select Marketing from your Simplero Dashboard
Select the Affiliate Programs tab
There are 2 ways to Edit your Affiliate program
1) Locate your Affiliate program and click the Gear icon in the far right:
2) Locate and select the Affiliate program and click the Configure button on your menu bar:
Scroll down to the Advanced settings, and toggle ON the option "Use a 2-tiered affiliate system":
Now, every downstream affiliate will receive the same commission as the existing upstream affiliates. In order to change this, you can enter what commission the upstream affiliates should receive from the purchases registered to their downstream affiliates.
NOTE! The percentage is calculated from the purchase's total amount - not from your share or the affiliates' share alone.
Click Save changes
After that, each affiliate will see a link they can give out for other affiliates to register. The registered affiliates will be downstream to the affiliate they register with (their upstream affiliate).
NOTE! The purchases the upstream affiliates earn commission from through their downstream affiliates are not displayed on the affiliate's account. The upstream affiliate can only see the total amount earned through their downstream affiliates in the overview:
