Hi.In this video, I'll show you how to set up your sender domain in your Simplero account. From your Simplero dashboard, click on the cog icon in the top right corner of the screen. In your account settings, in the marketing column, click on email settings and that should open up this page. The first thing that we'll do is add the sender email.
0:26
You will receive a verification email to that inbox that you will need to open to verify your email address. Then the next thing that we need to do is add the sender domain. And once you get your domain added you'll notice this list of records here. The last thing that we need to do is set up the DMARC.And now we're ready to move over to the DNS manager.
0:58
You'll want to log in to the account where you originally purchased your domain. For me, that is GoDaddy. And I'm gonna leave this tab open and work back and forth between the two tabs, my DNS manager and my Simplero account because we have these nifty little copy to clipboard icons. So it makes it easy to transfer these records into the DNS manager.Once you've logged into your domain host account, look for the DNS manager for the domain that you're working with today.
1:37
Again, my DNS manager is GoDaddy. This is the these are the record for this particular domain that I'm working with. And I'm just gonna find where to start adding new records. That's what you're gonna want to do as well.So let's get started.
1:58
Okay, we've got type, name, and value fields. And you'll notice in your Simplero account you also have type, name, and value. It may not be the exact same label, but you should find something similar no matter what domain host you're using.Let's start with this first record, a TXT record. The record type is TXT.
2:25
And I'm gonna go ahead and copy the value over here.If you'll notice, this one name for this record does not have a copy to clipboard icon, and that's because it's meant to be like your root domain. So depending on your DNS manager, you're either going to add an at symbol in the name field, and I'll show you that.So this is a TXT record. And for GoDaddy, they require that you enter an at symbol when the name should be, like, just the root domain.
2:57
And then in the value field, we're going to paste the record that we just copied, and that's all it takes.Depending on, again, depending on your domain host, you'll either put an at symbol here or they may require that you leave the field blank altogether. You can try it both ways.If you try to save that record and you get an error message, then try it the other way. There's no harm in that.
3:21
So I'm gonna go ahead and add additional records.Your domain or your DNS manager may not allow you to add multiple records at one time.It doesn't just add them individually. So let's go move on to the next record. This is also a TXT record.
3:38
We're gonna copy the name this time around.Oops.TXT.And copy the value. Then for the next one, it's a c name record, and I've copied the name.
4:00
And let's go back and copy the value. The next is another c name record. So you have 3 TXT records to add and 3 c name records to add.But like I said, all it is is copy and paste from one place to the next. And we're almost there.
4:35
Oops. And lastly, our demark, which is a TXT.Oops.Not that. And paste the name that I had copied and grabbing the value and adding that here.
5:04
Just double check that everything looks right, then save all of those changes. And that's it.Select the correct record type and, copy and paste everything else, from your Simplero account. All of these were added successfully.Let's go back into Simplero, to see if anything has verified yet.
5:29
If it doesn't, it is nothing to be concerned about. That said, if you check back after 24 hours and the records have not verified, you'll want to check with the team. There may be something else going on.But you can click check domain as often as you want. You can leave this page and come back, do other things, set a timer to come back every 30 minutes or so and check the domain so that you're not concerned and just staring and waiting for waiting for the domain to verify.
6:13
And, again, you can click this as many times as you want.I'm gonna give it some time. It's been a couple of minutes.I'm gonna try again. Not yet.
6:26
Okay.So I left for about 30 minutes and came back and hit check domain, and everything came back as verified. So we are all set.The last thing there is to do is verify from my email inbox, and that's all.Alright.
