I'm happy to have you guys here, though.
What we're doing today, just whoever watches this recording in the future will kinda get this recap as well, but deals and pipelines.
I'm gonna set up a pipeline and then show how the customer sales journey, the customer is the deal, how they work through the pipeline.
And it's kind of an underutilized piece of Simplero, I've noticed.
A lot of people use the pipelines to handle their support tickets, but it's also a sales pipeline as well.
And I just doing audits and stuff and looking at people's accounts, lots of people don't use the pipeline function.
So that's kind of the goal of today is to get people to understand the power and maybe get them comfortable using something like that.
So for this use case, today, what I built was, a method where you can start someone into a funnel, and that funnel will deliver them a freebie.
The thank you page is gonna have, like, a little video mini webinar to encourage them to either purchase or book a Calvin.
And those steps are gonna be integrated into the sales pipeline.
So when they first sign up to your list through the funnel, they're gonna enter as a deal.
When they book a call, they're gonna be entered into that section of the funnel.
Right?
Hold on.
People are coming in.
As the call finishes, then they're gonna be given some information.
If they don't purchase at that point, we're gonna start an automation to try and get them to purchase.
And then also this pipeline is gonna watch and see who actually purchased and put them in the one category.
So you're gonna see category.
So you're gonna see after they purchase.
So it's just gonna be a way to organize a particular campaign or funnel that you may be using.
But there's a trillion ways that you could utilize this pipeline.
So that's the goal for today.
So it's 103.
People are gonna be probably coming in and out, and I'm gonna be listening for the tings, but I'm gonna go ahead and just get started, if that's cool with all of you guys.
So first things first, we are starting from our demo account, and in this demo account, it's empty.
There's not much going on here.
This is a demo account that refreshes itself, like, every week, so it's good that I chose this.
So now I just have a clean slate to work on, and what I'm gonna do is I am going to start to build out the pipeline.

So, here's where we go.
We're gonna get started here.
You're gonna start at the gear icon, and that's where you're gonna find the pipelines.
It's kinda hidden, and I'm gonna put some feedback.
It'd be better if it was maybe inside these tabs somewhere, but here's where the pipelines are, and I'm gonna add a brand new pipeline.
We're gonna call it, let's just call it pipeline workshop.
And this is for deals.
So first, I'm gonna build this pipeline.
All of this will make sense towards the end, but just for ease of this call and to not create too much confusion, I'm gonna build out each section and then show how they all come together.
So pipeline is here.
We're gonna add a stage.
First stage I'm gonna add, as I'm gonna call it, a lead.
So this is just your regular lead as they jump in.
I'm gonna give it a color just for fun, make it pretty.
You don't have to add a tooltip if you don't want.
The status is open on a lead because they're open.
It's not won lost or abandoned.
It's an open lead.
And then win probability is gonna be up to you.
It's gonna be based on maybe some of your metrics, what you know about your customers, what you know, what happens when they usually enter some type of funnel that you've built or onboard into, like, your lists.
So I'm just gonna call this 10%.
This is the very beginning of the funnel, 10% probability of winning.
It requires you to give a percentage.
If you don't know, just put 0 because it doesn't this is just information for you for now.
So I'm gonna put 10.
Here we go.
We're gonna save.
We're not adding an automation yet.
So that's my first stage.
Next stage is going to I'm gonna call it call booked because they're booking a call with me.
Give it a color, open, win probability.
If they book the call, they're probably more likely to buy than someone who's just a regular lead because now they're interested.
So I'm gonna leave it there at another stage.
Now we're gonna talk about tracking if they reschedule the call.
This will just be useful to have because some people schedule and then reschedule, so you'll be able to just look at it and see.
Still leave it at a 20.
I'm gonna call this one call canceled.
So this one is still open, but they canceled the call.
Not a great thing, but that's okay.
I'll leave that there.
That's the 4th color.
Yeah.
Yep.
One probability.
I don't know.
3 and back down to 10, just for fun.
Now, the next stage we're gonna add is sold.
I'm gonna call this stage sold.
I'm gonna get solds.
Let's give it a color.
I'm gonna make it just a dark green, and this is 1.
So now that it says 1, we're gonna remove probabilities because you won, like, the the sale is over.
So now you can see where this that the sale is has been sold.
So save that guy.
Now at these stages, for after the call or calls that have been lost, so this is not a good fit.
I'm gonna call this one.
We'll just make it red.
And this is a lost a deal because they weren't a good fit.
We're at another stage, didn't buy, and we will call this open still because that doesn't mean that the dream is over.
They just didn't buy yet.
And you'll see later why.
We're gonna add them into an automation if they didn't buy.
We can call this 1 win weight probability 10%.
Just drop it down a little bit.
And then the last one is not interested.
And we'll Calvin this lost as well.
I'll leave that as red.

So here's our stages.
They're all saved.
Now we can go to view it.
There are no deals yet in this pipeline.
Right?
So in order to see how this looks, I'm just gonna create a deal real quick just so you can see because then it'll it'll, it will show I'm just gonna create this contact.
It'll show the whole pipeline.
Initial stage lead.
This is gonna be all my stages.
So this is if you wanted to manually add someone.
We're gonna do this an automated way.
Create this deal and boom.
Now you can see all of our stages.
Silas deal has now entered this pipeline.

So let me just check on everybody and make sure everybody's cool.

That's great.
The next step, you're gonna have to connect this is my opinion, but in order to in order to organize this campaign, I'm gonna give it its own list.
Right?
Now you can have as many lists as you want within Simplero.
We're gonna call this pipeline workshop.
So now that we're within this list, we're gonna make it do some stuff.
Under the Content tab, Content tab, Waiting.
Okay.
Cool.
What we're gonna do is we're gonna add a couple triggers.
So the first trigger is we're gonna once the subscription is activated, we're gonna enter the pipeline.
So create a deal in a pipeline.
So we went when this happens, subscription activated, create deal in a pipeline.
Which pipeline?
Pipeline workshop.
And now what I wanna do is give it a name and use the smart thing to do would be to use these interpolation keys to grab the name from the contact record when they entered in their name and email.
So you could do first name, last name, full name.
I'm just gonna do first name.
Now once someone signs up for this list, it's going to create them as a deal in the pipeline we just created.
I'm gonna add another trigger, and we're gonna add a tag, which is gonna come in handy later.
We're gonna create a new tag, and it's gonna be called enter underscore pipeline.
Now here's our list.
We're on we're not done yet.
The list is here.
We added our triggers.
Now, in this fictitious campaign, we have a freebie, right, and we want the list to deliver that lead magnet.
So under the auto responses tab, it's where we're gonna do that.
I'm gonna add auto response.
Subject, here's your freebie.
Again, it's gonna be whatever you want it to be.
Remember, I'm just drafting this.
Like, everyone's gonna have their own content, their own, you know, their own path.
Right?
So don't don't copy this, but copy the setup, right, if if it's useful to you.
So click on your freebie in the attachment, and then we're gonna attach a file.
Let's see here.
What should we give them?
Chisos Mountain Lodge order confirmation.

That'll be interesting for them to read.
So here's their freebie.
Again, it can be a PDF, link to something, anything that you want.
Just give them that that lead magnet opt in via the list auto response, and I'm gonna save those changes.
So now we have a pipeline that'll enter people as a lead if they join this list.
You kinda see where I'm going here, right?
You don't need a funnel to do this.
I'm gonna show you how, but you don't need a funnel.
But what we're doing is we're grabbing that contact when they join this list and entering them as a deal in a pipeline.
That's what we got so far.
Now, we're gonna start scaffolding out the pieces of the funnel, but one of those pieces is a scheduling link.
So let's go ahead and create that first because we're gonna get people to jump on a call with us because we can sell better if we get with them 1 on 1.
Let's say it's high ticket or something.
Maybe we wanna just we really wanna talk to them and and, you know, work out their objections and stuff.
So we'll call this pipeline workshop.
And make these settings whatever you want.
My duration is gonna be 25 minutes, individual.
Who's this thing for?
It's for me.
We're gonna create it.
And I'm gonna it's already defaulted to overlay your calendar, but that may be what you wanna do, overlay your calendar.
We wanna make sure that it's grabbing from Google, if you use Google, so you're not double booking.
But then, yeah, there's just a few settings here.
I won't go over them in detail because this will be up to you how you create this call.
But, yeah.
So, availability is working hours.
Easy.
That's it.
That's all I'm all I'm doing, just a a regular old scheduling link.
So now that that's built, we're gonna go back to scheduling links.
And here's my link.
I'm gonna add some triggers to this link.
And these triggers are gonna move it around the pipeline.
So if event is scheduled, what we're gonna do is we are going to move deal in a pipeline to a pipeline stage.
They're already in because they joined the list.
That was the first step in the funnel, which I'm gonna create later.
Which pipeline?
Pipeline workshop.
Which pipeline stage?

They call booked.
They booked a call.
Gonna save that.
We're gonna add 2 more.
So event is scheduled.

We are going to move deal.

Now last one we're gonna do for now is we are going to do event is canceled.

So now based on the action that they take with the scheduling link, it'll move them around our original pipeline.
I'm gonna actually open a tab for that so you guys can just we can keep referencing that as we go.
Let's duplicate this.

So now we have call booked, call rescheduled, call canceled.
So based on what they do with that scheduling link, it's gonna put them in this, in the Calvin column.
So scheduling link is done.
Next, we're gonna create a product.
You may already have a product that you wanna sell, but I'm gonna create one from scratch just so we can connect it.
So we'll do products.
I'm just gonna call it pipeline workshop, just like everything else.
It's frozen.
Thinking, thinking.
There we go.
Not gonna mess with anything here.
Let's just say it's $10.
And, yep, create that product.
So there's one price.
I'm going to create, just so you know, a secret price, another price for if they didn't book the book the or they didn't buy after the call, we're gonna send them an automated email later, with a discount just to really entice them to purchase.
So we'll call it discount after pipelines.
And there's a couple of ways we could do it.
We could just make it a a cheaper cheaper price.

So now we have our product.
I'm not gonna add anything to the content tab.
If you guys know Simplero, this is how you're gonna deliver your content.
So we'll just leave this as it is for now, it's not relevant to what we're doing, but now we have our product.
Okay, next thing we're gonna do is start the funnel.
Here's where it gets a little bit more complex, but what we're gonna do is we're gonna build a new funnel, so I'm gonna go to marketing, and then funnels, and create a new funnel, pipeline workshop, And we're gonna make it 3 steps.
We're gonna have an opt in, a thank you page with a movie or a video, or it could be sales copy, whatever you want it to be, but a thank you page.
And then the third step, which is gonna be linked from that thank you page, is a scheduling link to book a call.
Now, that's just this particular pipeline.
You can do whatever you want once you start to learn how to use these pipelines, but that's what we're gonna do today.
So first thing we're gonna do, we're gonna do an opt in.
Let's just do the Cosmos opt in.
We'll select that.
I'm gonna add each of the stages, and then we'll edit them.
Next one, we'll do a page.
And we will do the Cosmos sales page.
I just chose this one because it already has a video that you can utilize.
I mean, you're gonna have to upload your own, but and then the last one, we're gonna do a scheduling link, which is very handy to have just built into the funnel system.
And we're gonna give it that one I created Calvin pipeline workshop.
Cool.
So first one we're gonna edit, we're gonna go to opt in, and we will just edit the page.
Now we have a couple ways we can do this, but I'm gonna leave it as is.
The sign up is going to open a pop up.
Right?
So just ignore all of this copy.
Think about this as an opt in page.
The copy is gonna say something like, hey.
Glad you're here.
Here's your free PDF.
Sign up for our newsletter.
Right?
So in this button, the setting is open pop up.
So if you guys haven't used the new builder, if you're not familiar, you open the pop up from here, and here's where you affect the settings for the sign up.
And this is the pop up settings as well.
It has its own colors, formats, advanced settings, all kinds of stuff.
But I'm gonna go to this button, and this action is opt in already.
I'm not gonna change that.
That's our goal.
We wanna get them to opt in, and the list we're gonna add them to is the pipeline workshop list.
So just to recap, once they get on that list, they're gonna get tagged, they're gonna get an auto response with a freebie, and they're gonna get started as a lead in our pipeline.

We click add.
We add a scheduling link, and it shows me all the scheduling links I already have.
But when you click add a page, it doesn't show you all the pages you've already built on your website.
It sends you over with a new page.
So that's where I was feeling a little lost in that process.

Like, if I were to turn this into a funnel or move to a funnel let's just move it to a funnel and see.

And then as you go along, you would just go back to your landing pages and forms and move or duplicate other pages to it.
So, technically, no.
You don't have to start a funnel with a new anything, but you have to start you have to grab a page first.

But if you wanna start with the page itself, you're gonna have to turn it into a funnel.
And then if you wanna bring other landing pages to it, you're just gonna do like I showed, and move them to the funnel.

So what I would do here is I would make this button say, book a call.
So what we're gonna do is go to sorry.
Go to next funnel step.
That'll be the easiest way, and it'll take me directly to that scheduling link.
We're gonna you can add a video here.
So this is just a video element or a media element, and you can replace it with whatever you want.
And then down here, I'm gonna make this one just directly buy.
Because they watched the video, they're sold, now they want my product.
So for this, I am going to go to, and then link.
We're gonna call it products.
Pipeline workshop is the product I created, and we can just send them straight to the order form.
That's what this second call to action is gonna do.
And then we don't really need this third one, just we'll make it do something.

And then there's some settings you can change in the event, like automatic registration, manual registration.
That's a whole another workshop.

So they got into the funnel, booked a call with you, then canceled the call.
You're never hearing from them again.
Hopefully, you hear from them again.

And in the stage, we can start an automation.

What we're gonna do is start an automation and we're gonna start pipeline automation.
So it makes sense in a second.
And then the other way we're going to get a hold of them as if they enter the stage didn't buy.
So I'll add the trigger there.
Cool.
So now if we go back to this automation, there's our other triggers.
No.
We're gonna add a step, which is just gonna be a wait period.
The first thing we're gonna do is we are going to send them an email after that wait period.
We're gonna call this, did you have a chance to check out the thing?
Question mark.
Sales copy.
Cool.
Now we have to put a condition on here because we don't want them to get this email if within some period of time, after 5 days, they go ahead and purchase the product.
So we gotta think of all of our use cases.
So they join the list.
5 days later, they still haven't purchased.
We're gonna send them this email.
Did you have a chance to to check out the thing?
So only if contact, purchase product, or not purchase product.
We're gonna do not purchase product and pipeline workshop.
So it's gonna send them that email.
Now we're gonna wait again.
You wait another 5 days, and then we can send him another email.
Are you sure you don't want to buy?
Again, guys, I'm a horrible salesman.
Don't copy any of this copy.
But this is just to give you the steps to kind of, you know, get get ahold of people and get them back into your world and get them to purchase.
So we can add even a link to purchase.
Boom.
We'll make that a link.
And the URL, we can just go to our product, pipeline workshop, quarter form.
It's free.
I don't know why they wouldn't buy it.
We can even edit this and make it a button.

So first email, did you check out the thing?

And then the last step is going to be to wait again.
Give it some time.
And then we're gonna add them to the deal or or into the pipeline stage, not interested.

Move to a stage.
Which pipeline?
Pipeline workshop.
Not interested.
So if the call was canceled, they're gonna enter this automation.
If they didn't buy, they're gonna enter this automation.
If the workshop or if they just joined the funnel and it waits 5 days, they still haven't booked a call or didn't buy, they're gonna enter this automation.
That's how this automation will work.
And at the end of the 5, 10, 15 days, they're literally just gonna get moved to not interested because they've read all your copy, they didn't book a call with you, and they still didn't purchase.
So you don't have to copy this, but it's this is just to show you the the possibilities.
Possibilities.
These wait steps could be whatever you want, you could have no wait steps, but this automation will get them into, or the funnel and the pipeline will get them into this automation and still entice them to buy.
So there's that.
And then there's one more let's see.
One more automation that moves them to this didn't buy step.
Right?
So we can build that one quick.
It's super small, super fast.
And this is gonna be after they have completed the event with you and they didn't schedule.
Right?
So let's just make a brand new one.
Okay.
So entered funnel and didn't buy.
So that step, it's just gonna be based on the scheduling link.
Pipeline workshop.
Save changes.
Now add a step.
We're gonna wait specific time.
It's actually gonna be the event end.
So 5 days after the event ends.
Right?
So they had that call with you.
They didn't book or they didn't buy, sorry, after after the call even.
So they've been through your funnel, saw your free video, got your freebie, still didn't buy 5 days afterwards.
This wait step happens, and we are going to move them to this other automation by putting under didn't buy.
So we're gonna move them here.
Didn't buy.
Okay.
So to recap, let's open the other automation so you can see.
Let's go to missions, pipeline automation.
So we just did the didn't buy side.
So an automation brings someone into another automation.
You can do that in Simplero.
Call canceled.
This is gonna send them emails.
Pipeline workshop, they they started it, but they haven't purchased.
It's gonna send them emails.
Right?
So this is just this last piece to kinda grab anybody that made it through this pipeline and this funnel that still hadn't purchased from you.
And that's it.
Like, I'm gonna test it again for you, everybody.

I wanna see you see it move through the funnel.

So just so I'm clear on the terminology, the funnel is the first step of the pipeline?

Like, that's what I did is I made based on the list sign up, which is coming from the funnel, the trigger that gets them into the sales pipeline.

I thought that this would be a good way to to to create some understanding.
Hopefully, what I didn't do is create way more complexity, but this would be a use case that you could definitely use, like the funnel could track the sales pipeline.
If you're not using a pipeline, you have this funnel that people are jumping into and jumping out of with no recourse.
Like you're having to follow-up or watch or see who's in it, where, when, why.
This the pipeline is just a way to visualize that life cycle.
Right?
So the first step of a pipeline could also be sort of like a signing up for an email list that you already have or Absolutely.
Pressing this button that you already have on your site.
Right.
And all it was was a trigger.
So anywhere sorry.

So yeah.
So any any trigger action can move them to a stage in a pipeline, and you can put those triggers everywhere.

What you're gonna do is you're gonna just manually move that person there.
Right?
So now you got not interested, which is automated, and not a good fit, which is manual, but these two columns will tell you who's literally not gonna buy.
And everywhere else inside of this pipeline, there's still a chance, right, until they're sold.
I hope this wasn't super complicated, and I apologize, guys.
I didn't know a better way to make it less complicated.
It just is complicated.
That's all there is to it.
But once it's built, depending on the use case, you're this is a hands off thing where all you're doing is tracking leads and figuring out what to do with them next.

Once it finishes, it waits till 5 days, checks to see if they purchased or not, and then puts them into the Calvin puts them into the new automation.
This one, the follow-up with the emails.
And it'll enter them into that stage, and then that's what fires the automation.
I you can see it in the recording, but I can go over it as well too.
