Well, let's go ahead and just get started.
And we may even finish early depending on, you know, how many questions you have and, if anyone else pops in.
But at at least I wanna go through funnels together.
It's gonna be a high level overview of funnels, the feature.
It's a really powerful feature in Simplero player, and we'll have the recording.
So anyone else who wants to watch this later can see it.
But, basically, the agenda would be that I'm gonna go ahead and teach on the funnel, the funnel feature.
Gonna go through, you know, all the different steps and the ways to set it up.
I'll maybe talk about a few different use cases I've seen.
It'll be pretty high level, so little details.
We might not get to, like, the nitty gritty because it is a really powerful feature, with a lot of different components.
But I'll get I'll do my best, you know, to get to as much as we can.
If you can save your questions for the end, if you have any, that would be the best because then we can just, you know, chat together at the end.
If there's something burning question while I'm talking, you can drop it in the chat.
I may or may not see it.
If I don't, I'll answer it at the end.
And then if anyone else comes in, I was gonna say we like to raise our hands.
But, since so far, it's just you, that will be fine.
You can just unmute your unmute your device and, and ask your questions.

So I'm gonna go ahead and jump in.
I'm gonna share my screen, and we are gonna talk through funnels together.
Let's see here.
Where is it?

So hopefully you can see everything here.
So to get to the funnels feature, you're gonna go to marketing funnels right here.
And while we're here, I just wanna talk through quickly like what is the goal of a funnel.
Right?
So we're in our demo account right now.
None of these funnels are real.
But, in your Simplero account, you're gonna see that there's no funnels created yet if you haven't created one.
And then you'll be able to create a new funnel in the top right hand corner.
So the goal of a funnel is to see all of the steps of your sales campaign or your lead magnet or whatever it is, whatever campaign you're doing, you're seeing those steps visually.
And you get to set the steps up directly one after the other, in the funnel feature.
So what's nice is, like, I've been in Simplero for about 4 years, and some of you have probably been around a lot longer.
But for me, I noticed how helpful it was to have the funnels feature versus when we didn't have it because you would be creating your campaigns in Simplero with all these different components, and then connecting them together.
But you're not actually able to see them step by step in one spot, which a lot of different platforms have that feature.
So in Simplero, it was like you would create your list, create your landing plate landing page, create your email sequence, and then you just have to go and connect those pieces together with triggers and whatnot.
But you're not actually seeing it step by step visually in front of you.
And so that's what's nice about the funnel feature.
I find, It helps you not have to just create the component separately and connect them.
You get to create the components but see them play out 1 by 1, step by step.
So once you're in the funnel section, you're gonna go to create new funnel, and you're gonna give it a name.
I'm gonna call mine Christina's funnel.
Click okay here.
So this is the funnels section.
Right?
So the little plug, I guess it's a plug, that's the beginning of the funnel.
The flag is the end of the funnel.
Right?
And you just get to add in each step as you go.
So when you click add a step, the options are here and we're gonna go through each one.
So page is pretty straightforward.
That can be a sales page, an opt in page.
It can be a thank you page.
Right?
So a page would be, any of that.
And and one thing to know is when you click page here, you're creating the page here from within the funnel.
Right?
So the page will show up in your landing pages and forms, but it'll show up as connected to this funnel.
And you get to choose between builder 2.0 and classic pages.
If you don't know what those are, you know, that's something that we in Simplero, we created this new builder called builder 2.0.
So you get to pick from all of these different, templates or you can choose your own.
We also have opt in sales and thank you templates.
So on the left side of the page, it's really nice depending on what you're looking for.
If you need a template for it, you just click on the category you're looking for.
And then once you click like, let's say I'm gonna click on the sales page here.
Or, actually, let's do, like, an opt in sequence.
Let's say I do builder 2.0 dark opt in page, and I select that.
You can also preview it.
But what happens is it's gonna create it as a step here.
Okay?
On the step, you can edit the URL slug.
So the slug of the URL is the path.
You can change that.
You can change the name of the step.
I like to sometimes give my steps numbers like 1 opt in to, thank you page, 3, etcetera, trip wire, whatever it is.
Right?
So that can also be a nice way to track and and see your steps 1 by 1.
So that's the first option is a page.
The next options are down here.
I'm gonna go through these, and then I'll go through split test and conditional split.
So order form, super straightforward.
A step is just you can make a step be the order form.
So let's say they sign up on the opt in page and then you wanna redirect them after they, put their name and email and sign up to this list on this opt in page.
You wanna redirect them to an order form.
I don't know what use case you would do that, but let's say you were.
The next step, you would choose plus button order form.
Again, pretty straightforward.
When you're choosing an order form, you would select the product or you can create the product here if you haven't created it yet.
You can create it here and then go back into the product under sales products and actually flesh out the settings for it.
But if you just need to create it quickly so it's in your funnel, you can do that or you can select what you already have.
I'm gonna choose a random on this, a random product here.

So 4 week crash course, that's an order form.

So we're just talking through the different steps.
We talked about an opt in, which is one of the first options, a page.
Right?
You can do sales pages.
You can do, you know, thank you pages, but that would be the first option.
If you don't mind if you don't mind muting yourself, that would be super helpful.
And then that way, we can make sure or I can I actually no?

So I was telling I was telling our other participant, but, I might not get to it till the end.
So, so we talked about pages.
We were just talking about how you can have a step that is an order form as well.
So, again, in this case, first step is the opt in.
And then what happens is when you create a second step, we will automatically redirect them to step number 2.
So you get to decide what step number 2 is, and that's gonna be the next page that they go to after they complete the action on the first page.
So whatever this is, this is an opt in, page, but it could be whatever you chose.
And the button here puts them on a list.
When they put their name and email in, boom, they're redirected to this order form.
That's just an option.
So another type of step you can choose is a scheduling link.
Again, pretty straightforward.
You can redirect them after they do an action on the page or whatever that first step is.
Step 2 or step 3 or whatever step you're on can be a scheduling link.
The scheduling link, you would again, we make it so that you can create it directly here if you haven't created one yet, or you can choose what you've created already here.
A scheduling link, in case you don't know what that is, in Simplero, it's equivalent to like acuity or Calvin or just a calendar system for people to book, you know, 1 on 1 calls or group calls with you.
If it's you and another team member, you know, things like that where they're booking calls and booking appointments with you.
So some use cases for this would be, like, let's say you have them sign up to your list and then one of the, you know, places you wanna redirect them is a thank you page.
And then you wanna say, you know, book book a call with me.
Right?
So maybe you want them to sign up to the list and that step 1 in your funnel.
And then step 2 could be a scheduling link and you just redirect them to your scheduler immediately after they sign up.
That's one option.
Right?
So that would be, you know, the scheduling option.
I'm just gonna select a random one.
This is our demo account, so everything's nothing is none of this is real.
But I just select something.
There you go.
Boom.
Step 3 is a scheduling link.
This is totally not a real sequence.
I'm not sure why they would go from opt in order form to scheduling link, but, just kinda go through the different steps and we could talk about different actual use cases.
And then another option is a survey.
So surveys are cool in Simplero.
We've made it so that you can actually, survey your audience, with different questions.
Sometimes that's nice.
People wanna know, you know, what do you think about this this thing that I'm doing or how satisfied are you with the service or, you know, there's so many different ways that you can use surveys.
If you need to add it as a step in a funnel, we're gonna redirect to that step, you know, wherever it is in the funnel.
So, again, you can create the survey directly here and then go to the survey feature, to actually flesh out the settings and the questions and all of that, or you can choose one that you've already fleshed out and that's in your list of surveys.
Gonna choose a random one here.
Again, so that's kind of how all of those all of those, steps look like.
Couple other really important steps that are, really nice, really helpful features.
So one is the split test features.
I'm just gonna click on it here.
So a split test, again, is if you wanna, let's say, test out a couple different types of pages.
Let's say you've got 2 different opt in pages and you wanna send, send them to this opt in page after they, in this case, after they book a survey.
Where do you want them to go?
So they book that survey.
They they put in their name, their email, they answer all the questions, they press enter, they entered the survey or whatever.
Submitted a survey, I guess, would be the word.
Now you get to pick, like, let's say you want to have a split test and send them to, a page, but you've got 2 different variations of that page and you wanna see which one does better.
Again, not sure why you do that after a survey, but let's pretend it's makes sense.
So you would click add branch for the 1st page.
And, again, you can choose the page directly here.
So this is something, Cassandra, we talked about at the beginning before you hopped in is that when you create a page directly in the funnel, you're creating it here.
So it's part of this funnel.
So you'll see it show up in your landing pages and forms, but it's gonna say that it's already part of this funnel.
So you would click add page, let's say.
And, again, you can choose between opt in page, sales pages, thank you pages for different templates if you need it.
Let's say you wanna send them to different thank you page, and you're not sure which one does better.
You can choose.
You know, let's say you have one thank you page, so you choose that as your first branch.
And sometimes it takes a little bit of time here to just go in.
There we go.
And then you get to add another branch.
So you can add another branch, choose page, and then let's say I choose this other page.
And then what I'm gonna do is I'm going to, edit those pages and make them 2 different variations of each other.
Like, let's say you just have different copy on each page and you're not sure which one's gonna do better.
You know, however you wanna do.
You would just click on the edit page button here and that gives you the chance to actually edit that, edit each of these pages and kinda make them, you know, the different variations that you want.
On the left, you'll see this little number.
So you can give them weights, which tells the system to send more people or less people to that page than the other, but it's still random.
So the system's still gonna randomly choose, but it's gonna take into account how much weight you put here.
So if if this, you know, page has 2 and this page has 3, more than not, they'll be going to this page than this one.
But those we'll still be testing it.
And sometimes if you want it to be exactly the same 50%, 50%, you could just do the same weight on both, you know, however you wanna do that.
But that just tells the system that, you know, we're gonna prioritize 1 or the other, but we're still gonna test them out.
So split tests are great because then you can find out, okay, this page had different copy and this page had different copy, or this page had different images, or whatever it was, different design, and this one did better than the other one.
So you get to kinda find out, you know, who actually, converted on these pages.
So it wouldn't be a thank you page is a really bad example, but it would be like an opt in or a sales page.
Something where they actually do something that converts.
So so yeah.
So let's pretend you did that.
So that's how you can find out, oh, this has more conversions.
Looks like this copy is probably better.
Yeah.
So that's split test.
And then another great this one can be used for so many things.
It's conditional split.
So if you click on conditional split, what that means is it's similar to a split test, except you're telling them which branch to go to based on a condition that they meet.
So what do I mean by that?
Is you get to decide, like, let's say, I, I had them opt into my list, and now I am sending them to a I'm either gonna send them to this page or this page, depending on whether they have a tag.
So that's one really random example.
We can talk about other examples for this, but let's say that tag is given to them when they've purchased a certain product from you or they are, a lead that's really warm or not warm.
Right?
You get to decide, like, let's say they have a tag for that reason.
We can come down here and say, okay.
So after they complete the opt in, which was the previous step, we'll pretend.
Now I wanna put a conditional split so that I can send the people who sign up to that opt in but have a tag to this page and then the people who don't have the tag to this page.
Or I can send the people who've never purchased a product to this page, which sells them that product.
And if they've already bought that product, I can send them to this page, which maybe sells them a different product or just thanks them for signing up.
You know, like, let's say you wanna do a trip wire situation, but you don't wanna bombard people who've already bought from you, like, they already have it.
Right?
So you could say, okay.
I'm gonna send them to this page.
Let's say it's a sales page.
I'm gonna pick a random one here.
Those are thank you pages.
Where is the funny sales page?
Oh, I guess it's a sales page.
Interesting.
Let's pretend that's a sales page.
So, oh, well, this is all happening in real time, guys.

Like, so careful right now.

So let's say the first step was they opted in to and I'm just gonna choose a blank page again just to be safe.
Let's say let's pretend that this is an opt in.

So they opt in to my list, and I want to before I send them to the thank you page, I want to put a trip wire on the thank you page.
And I wanna say, actually, thank you so much for signing up.
Here is also this, like, $7 thing or $17 thing that you can also buy, that you would be a good fit for because you signed up for my lead magnet.
Right?
So they sign up for the lead magnet here.
Boom.
Conditional split.
You get to say, okay.
This page is gonna go to people who have not bought that product.
So you would set the conditions here.
You could say has not bought tripwire yet.
This is so random.
You can change all of this to be what works for you, but this is just the name for you of what the condition is.
And then you can choose, like, okay, they have not purchased product as the condition.
Let's say authentic Mexican cuisine or Ale.
That is our trip wire product.
So let's say they have not bought this product yet, and that is the condition that sends them to this page.
Right?
So that's what you're setting when you put the condition.
And then the nice thing is it used to be that you have to add the alternate condition here, but we actually just put otherwise.
So we're just gonna do the opposite of that as this condition.
So if they haven't bought the product, they go to this page, and you can advertise the trip wire on this page because they haven't bought it.
If they have bought the product, you can actually just put the thank you page here if you want.
Like, the overall thank you page for signing up.
You could put that here or you could give if you need it to be a specific thank you page just for these people, you can put it here.
So just the people who have already bought, but they signed up to the list are gonna see this thank you page, and you do a plus button here.
Right?
Let's say we do that.
I'll just add a regular blank page there.
So now the way this works, you can see they sign up to the opt in.
If they haven't bought, they go here.
If they have bought a product, they go here.
And you can have separate copy, separate call to actions, all that stuff.
When they finish with this product, let's say they they do buy this product, you can send them to a thank you page here as the next step.
If they don't buy it, you can also make it that either way.
Whether they buy it or they don't, they can go to the same page.
Or this is where it gets fun.
You can add a conditional split here, which says, okay.
If they bought the trip wire now, if they haven't bought the trip wire or let's say, you do it again.
You say, okay.
They haven't bought the trip wire, they go here.
Now after this page, where they just got advertised the trip wire, now you can do another conditional split that says, okay.
If they did buy it, so they have bought it split that says, okay.
If they did buy it, so they have bought it from here, send them to this page.
So I'm gonna do that again.
I'm gonna click the builder 2 point o, click the page, add that as an add that in as a step, and then it's over here.
Then you set the conditions.
Same thing.
And then here, you could say maybe it's they did buy it.
I mean, either one.
It doesn't matter.
You just pick which one.
Purchase product, choose the tripwire, save changes, and then otherwise and let's say they did buy it.
You just wanna send them to the thank you page.
They're done.
They bought the trip wire.
They signed up.
They're there.
If they didn't buy it, you can send them to the same thank you page or because you did the conditional split, you can send them to a different page that says, okay.
You don't want that?
Do you want this?
Kind of like a down sell situation.
Again, super high level, but this is just like the power of conditional splits is that they can you just keep going.
And the nice thing is you can have different copy for different conditions.
Like, I wanna actually sell this product to these types of people because they meet this condition versus I wanna have different copy for these people because they meet, they don't meet that condition and that means that they need this copy.
Right?
So that is the fun stuff when it comes to funnels and conditional steps.
Okay.
1 a couple other things to note.
Thank you pages.
So let's say you've got an opt in page and this page has a sign up form on it that goes on to a list.
You're still gonna be configuring the page.
Right?
So you're gonna be editing this page, putting a form on there, making sure the form is connected to a list, etcetera.
But this is the but.
Since the form is connected to a funnel, we don't follow the same thank you page rules that we do on the list.
So, normally, if you've been in Simplero, you've created a funnel, or you've created a sign up form, you know that.
The sign up form gets connected to a list and the list has a thank you page on it.
Either it's default and you can customize it, or you can create your own and connect it.
In Simplero, when you create a page in a funnel, we're not gonna follow those thank you page rules on the list.
We're gonna take them to the next step in the funnel.
So when you need something to have a thank you page in your funnel sequence, the funnel needs to have that next step be a thank you page.
Because we're not gonna follow the rules on the list that the the list is connected to.
Right?
So the the sign up form's connected in that list.
We're not gonna follow those rules.
Okay.
So that's an important thing to note.
Just make sure if you need a thank you page and it's part of a sequence that the step there is a step for that thank you page, and then we'll redirect them there.
Because, again, we move them through the sequence.
Another thing to keep in mind is upsells and downsells.
So this one can get a little nitty gritty.
We won't go too deep into it.
But, we have a whole upsell and downsell feature in Simplero with, being able to create a product as an upsell and you connect that product to another product, then you say, okay.
I want this upsell to be upsold on this product.
Then you do all that from the from the products.
But in some Simplero, that's not gonna work if you're using it with a funnel.
The reason is we give you these up sell and down sell links that you can use with the up sell feature, and those don't function in a phone.
The way it works and the workaround that we came up with, is that let's say you've got a product page.
So you've got a, you've got a sales page.
Again, I don't wanna click that sales page because I don't want to wake the beast.
So let's just choose builder 2.0, start from scratch.

So here we go.
So let's say this is a sales page, and they and this page has or actually, you know what?
Before this, we'll do an order form.
Let's say you got the order form for your main product.
We're gonna choose generic product.
So you've got this order form and that's the first step.
They they're purchasing that first product, and then after they purchase, they're gonna be, like, redirected to this page, which is the thank you page.
But if you're wanting to add an upsell, similar to what we talked about with conditional splits and all that stuff, the upsell here, this page, you would just, before we go into the conditional split stuff, you would just have, okay, order form, pay for that.
That's the first product.
Redirect them to the upsell page.
And this page, you're gonna create as the upsell page.
The difference though, instead of adding upsell and downsell links that say yes or no, what's gonna happen is we've got 2 options.
1, when you edit this page, when you say that you want them to say yes to it or no.
2 things.
And I'm gonna actually edit the page because it's gonna be a little easier for me to show you.
Let me add a button.
So let's say you've got yes and no buttons, and it actually looks really funky.
Yeah.
That's better.
So let's say this is gonna be yes and this is gonna be no.
Okay?
And let's pretend that all behind this, I've been selling them this upsell and talking about the upsell and saying, hey, before you go, do you wanna buy this?
So again, they just bought that first product, They come to this page and I wanna advertise that upsell and say click yes or no.
The workaround that we have for this is you can click on you can add one button that can be a pop up order form.
Ignore the I agree to receive marketing.
That is we're in our test account.
But, so you can do let's see.
There's a couple of things.
So open pop up is actually the let me see here.
I think it's go to.
There we go.
So it's go to.
And then we should have if you click on products I'll walk you guys through this in a second.
Here.
Pop up word form.
Yeah.
So so for the yes button, what you're gonna do is you're gonna click on go to when you add the button, And then you're gonna click link and you're gonna choose products.
Choose the product.
I'm gonna choose a random one and then pop up order form.
So, again, it's not perfect.
Not the most perfect workaround right now, because they do still have to enter their information onto that order form, for now.
I believe and I have to triple check this.
I didn't check it before, but I believe we added something to be able to recognize if they already have their card information on file.
But I'd have to I'd have to look on that.
I don't think it's I don't think it's initiated enough for this.
So you still have to I do know you do have to choose the pop up order form.
Regardless, there is a possibility the system might recognize that they already had card information.
But either way, they'll either have to put it in or not, but they do still have to press submit.
So that would be like the yes button, and you can put the the label as, yes, I want this or however you wanna say it.
And then the no button would be go to the next step in the funnel.
So I would add a button.
Again, I'm not gonna go into too, too much depth on this, but this just to show you how it works.
Go to the next step in the funnel, and that would take them to the next step, which would be a thank you page or it could be a down sell.
And you can kinda use the conditional split to say, okay.
Send them here or send them here whether or not they bought on that previous step.
Right?
So, again, we're coming into those conditional split options if you need to do that.
But, again, if they click no, you're just sending them to the next step in the funnel, which would be the next thing.
So that is how that would work.
So that was just a and it's very high level.
Just yeah.
I know I can't go into too much depth on it in 1 hour, but high level, it won't work if you try to use the yes and no links from a upsell you created outside of a funnel.
Other things that are important, dragging and dropping steps.
So this is like functionality things.
Right?
So if you have a step and you want to drag and drop it places, you can press and hold the little, 6 gray dots and move them around onto the plus buttons that you wanna move them to if you in the spot you wanna move it to.
So let's say I've got a step here.
I drag and drop it, and I wanna move it here.
And then, just to disclaim, the little green bar always goes across, and it takes, like, a little minute.
But then you'll see it pop up.
So just give it a second.
Boom.
Your step was successfully moved.
So that's dragging and dropping steps.
If you hover over a step, you'll see that you can edit the page or edit the step.
For a product, you can edit you can configure the product.
If you hover over it, that's that little settings there.
You can edit the page settings directly if you hover over a page.
You can grab the link to that direct, like, the direct link to that step in the funnel.
You can do that from this URL.
Or you can view that step in a new tab, and that way you can see it in real time what does it look like.
So those are kind of the things there.
Down here, you can click on the little three dots and you can duplicate to the next step, which just duplicates it to the next step in this funnel if you wanna add, you know, you don't have the let's say you have a page and you wanna make the next step similar to that same page.
We don't wanna have to recreate the whole page.
Just duplicate to the next step, and it'll create it again, and you can just edit it and make it its own.
So that's kind of a use case.
And then if you need to delete a step, pretty straightforward, highlight and click on delete step.
Super easy.
You can also add triggers to steps.
We only have 2 trigger options on funnels.
So I clicked it.
It's loading.
Trying to remember what they were.
Here.
Yeah.
So page viewed.
So if the page is viewed in this funnel, you can have a trigger fire and do something.
Or if an opt in is, or, like, if they opt in to a form on that page or that step in the funnel, you can have a trigger fire.
So those are the 2 trigger options.
You can do it for order forms as well.
Other things that are important.
So stats and settings, which is great.
Like, up up here, you'll see you can make the funnel live or not.
That's the toggle.
You can also show stats.
I'm gonna click on it.
There's not really gonna be much there's not gonna be it's not gonna be easy for you to see exactly because we don't have exact numbers because I just created this today.
But you'll see what it looks like when you add you click on this stats button.
It's great.
You can hover.
You'll see.
You don't have to really hover.
You just look at it, but we'll put the the unique and total views of any anyone who's viewed that funnel step.
You'll see the stats on the left as well, and you can, you know, filter them out based on how far out you wanna see them for.
How much revenue you've gotten, revenue per click, per click, per opt in, all that stuff will be calculated.
For order forms, you'll see here sales and revenue, that will be added as well.
So for pages, it's different, but for sales and revenue where they actually buy, you'll see those stats here too.
Opt ins and purchases over here, we've got 2 tabs for those.
So that's just gonna collectively grab the full, data for anyone who's opted into, any of the sign up forms in this funnel or anyone who's purchased any of the products connected to this funnel.
Right?
So all of that data is here, which is great.
And then you can actually access the settings.
So up here in the top right hand corner, I'm gonna bring us back over to that spot.
But so you can make the funnel live or not.
You can grab the link to the overall funnel here.
So, again, we talked about grabbing the link from different steps, which was one option.
And then, but then we have the, you know, URL option in the top right hand corner that you can actually grab to the overall funnel, and that's gonna start them on step 1.
So that would be if you need to let's say you create a whole funnel.
Step 1 is your opt in, and you need to go, add this to your Facebook ad, wherever you're gonna be promoting it, or maybe add it to your email list or whatever your newsletter.
Whatever it is, wherever you're you're promoting the funnel and you need the link, you can grab it up here.
You can also view it, in a new tab, and that's gonna start you on page 1.
And if you need to test it, go through all the tests, you know, go through all the steps.
Start that there.
Top right hand corner, the little three dots.
Steal my funnel link.
This is if, like, let's say, you want others to be able to copy this funnel.
You've got clients who wanna use this funnel.
If you work with business owners or, you know, there's multiple reasons you might wanna give this funnel away as an option for people to use in their own Simplero account.
So that's really the the use case there.
Duplicate funnel, again, pretty straightforward if you need to make a new one and you wanna have fresh data and you wanna start fresh, but you don't wanna have to recreate everything, from scratch because you're just gonna be changing some copy and switching out the lists and all that stuff.
Duplicate the funnel, make the changes.
Delete funnel, straightforward.
Show debug info, I think that's new.
I'm a little scared to click on it just because of what happened before.
So I think I'm gonna skip clicking on that, but you can probably understand that's just gonna help you debug the funnel.
And then we've got the settings tab here, and this is where you can, again, change the name.
You can also change it up here.
You should have been able to.
Why is it not letting me?
Let me go back to steps for a second.
Here.
Yeah.
So you can hover over the funnel name here and edit it here, or you can click on the settings icon here and edit it here.
The default URL.
So this is really important to note is when you have a funnel, you can actually, use a custom domain as the root domain for every step in that funnel.
Right?
So, you can use Simplero default domain, which is Simplero oh, well, it's your your account, your Simplero URL, not Simplero support.
Whatever that is slash funnel slash some numbers.
Some people don't like doing that.
There is the the whole thing about, you know, when you have a landing page and you're using it in Facebook ads, it needs to use your own business domain, on the on the URL.
So, so using our default URL isn't gonna be ideal if you need to share this with, a Facebook ad, etcetera.
So if you need to do that, you can use a custom domain for it.
Again, if you have downloaded a custom domain and then you select it here, we will make that the root domain for every single step and then you can go back to your steps and edit the paths on every single step.
Right?
So the root domain would be, like, christina.com for every single step, but then you get to edit the path.
So this is slash step dash 2, but you can say, lead magnet or whoops.
All caps.
Lead magnet or whatever you wanna call this step.
Right?
And so then this step would be kristina.com/leadmagnet.
Right?
And you do that for every single step.
So that's if you want to edit edit the paths on the steps and you wanna use your own custom domain.
You can also do under a site.
If you wanna use the domain that's already being used somewhere, like you have a domain a custom domain that you use for your main website and you point it to your main website so you want your funnel to live on that domain, you can choose that.
I would caution be careful about choosing a membership site because if the membership site domain is closed, like, let's say you're using you want it to live on a membership site URL, but that site is a closed site.
Your funnel is not gonna be available to the public if you do that.
It will it will put the funnel under the site URL and make it close to the publics, and then you try and run your campaign and you're like, why is no one able to get into the first page when it's meant to be just like a lead magnet and then a trip wire.
Right?
So careful on that.
Don't choose a closed membership site.
Just if you if you know that that's an issue.
Custom tracking code, pretty straightforward if you need any of that stuff, pixels, all the things.
We just give you the space to put it in there.
Other things to keep in mind that I did not mention are, automation.
So email sequences.
So when you create your funnel, the email sequences are not included in the visual representation of the funnel, but you can still connect them.
You're still creating the email sequences wherever you create them, whether it's an automation or you're putting it as a list of auto responders on your list, etcetera.
So you're still setting the email sequences up and connecting them where they need to be connected to the components of the funnel.
But, we don't have, like, a step or anything in the funnel itself that says, and now an email sequence is triggered.
Like, that's it's not a part of the funnel feature, but you're still you still need to set up your automation if you wanna have an email sequence.
And you just you just add them externally outside of the funnel.
They're just not considered steps in the funnel, if that makes sense.
So for example, let's say I've got this opt in, part of my sequence is that I want the first step to be my lead magnet opt in.
2nd step is this tripwire.
Right?
If they bought it.
If not, they go to a regular thank you page.
I send them through that tripwire situation.
But at the same time as this happening, I want a email sequence, like an automation to be happening at the same time after they signed up to the to the lead magnet.
So they're still gonna get redirected to this thank you page after they sign up to the lead magnet, but at the same time, it's like they put their name, their email, boom, they sign up, they're added to the list, they get redirected to this thank you page, and I want an email sequence to go out at the same time that's promoting that tripwire if they haven't bought it yet or something like that.
Or just, you know, nurturing them towards another product or however, you know, whatever that is.
You would still create that automation and you would connect it to the list that's connected to this page.
And you would say, okay.
There's add a trigger to that automation that starts the automation when they join this list.
So that's still something you're doing.
It's just outside of the funnel itself.
And if you need to, you can make a note on the step name and just say, you know, automation fires or something to tell you that an automation is going off here.
I connected it, and it's it's getting triggered from this list.
So that is that.
A couple things to keep a note too is, we don't have page view tracking for order forms.
So for the stats itself, when you look at the stats, you're gonna see, on the order form page, you'll see the stats for the actual sales.
But the page view cells, total view and unique view are gonna be 0, on order forms, and they'll always be 0.
But that doesn't mean no one visited it.
It just means we don't track that for order forms.
And then a couple other things, that are important is, let's say so so far, what I showed you is pages within that are created as steps from within the funnel.
Right?
So we pressed add step, we chose page, added it as a step, and then you can come back in, edit the page from here.
And as I mentioned before, that will show up in your landing pages and forms.
Right?
Which is great.
You can find them under marketing landing pages and forms.
The only thing is that sometimes you might create the funnel after you have already created some pages.
Like, let's say you create some pages and then you're like, okay.
But now I wanna do a funnel and I wanna add what I already created to that funnel.
I don't wanna have to create a new page from within the funnel.
So if that's the case, what's gonna happen is you're gonna need to go to marketing, landing pages, and forms, and you're gonna need to find the page that you created.
I'm gonna click on a random one.
You can see here if it's part of a funnel, it'll be it'll be under the funnel tab.
You'll see the funnel it's part of.
If it's not part of a funnel, that'll be blank.
I'm gonna click on a random it'd be nice if we had oh, it's under classic.
That's why.
I'd like to click on one that's not part of a funnel, but it is 2.0.
Yeah.
So I would click on the name here.
So in the top right hand corner, you're gonna click on the 3 dots, and you're gonna see a couple options.
1 is turn into a funnel or add to existing funnel.
So 2 different use cases.
1, let's say you haven't created a funnel yet, but you have created some pages you wanna use in the funnel.
So what happens is you'll go to the 1st page you wanna use.
You've already created it in your landing pages and forms, and now you're saying, okay.
I wanna add this to my funnel, but I haven't created the funnel yet.
We actually make it fast for you to be able to just click on this and click turn into a funnel.
So it creates the funnel, adds this as the first step, and then boom.
So that's if you haven't created the funnel yet, but you wanna do it quickly, you already created this page.
If you've created the funnel, like, you've already created a funnel and you've created this page separately, but you don't wanna recreate this page in this funnel, you can click up here and click add to existing funnel.
So it's just gonna add this page to the funnel you've already been setting up and you already worked through.
So those are the 2 options there.
Yeah.
So we're almost done with the training portion.
I'm gonna leave some space in case you guys have any questions or need any clarification.
Let me just go back into the funnel really quickly because one last thing I wanted to talk about was, different use cases that I've seen.
So some use cases have been like webinar sequences where you've got your landing page, they go to the order form, then they go to the thank you page or a conditional split.
Again, other options we already talked about are lead magnet sequences.
You got the lead magnet, your thank you page, and then you're triggering a email sequence.
Sometimes that lead magnet sequence might have a trip wire like we talked about, or scheduling a call with you.
So you'll have the thank you page.
You have a landing page, they sign up, go to a thank you page, and then redirect them to a scheduling link.
Like, there's there's endless options and combinations for how you wanna set this up.
But those are some of the things I've seen as well.
And the great thing is you can just set it up in the funnel and we will just move from step to step, however you've configured it.
Okay.
So I've covered a lot.
I know this is like a ton.
I wanna leave some space just, you know, we've got some time.
If you could keep your questions to just the, the funnel feature, that'd be great.

So first things first, can I use an existing landing page in a new funnel?

So what I just explained there, would be how you do that.
Hopefully, that makes sense.

And then can we use the survey for the conditional split?
Absolutely.

So when you do a conditional split, what's nice, let's say I click on plus and I choose conditional split.
You're right.
I was using pages as an example, but you have all the options I'm gonna choose a random survey, and I'm gonna choose a random survey.
And, once that loads let's see here.
Come on.
Oh, step joining.
So I have a one parent connector.
I don't know what that error is.
I don't know what that error is.
It should work.

Let me start with a page, actually, and then I'll add it.

Kinda just what I did before with conditional splits, if you can remember.
You just select the branch and you choose from all of those options.
So it could be a page.
It could be a survey.
It could be a scheduling link.
It could be an order form.
I think those are the options.
I can't remember if there's anything else.
I think that's it.
But yeah.
And then the page can be anything.
It can be sales opt in.

But all of those are allowed to be components in the funnel.
I'm I don't wanna break it again by trying, but hopefully that makes sense.

But, yes, you should be able to do that.
If they so couple options.
When they complete a survey answer within the survey itself, it's nice.
We have this whole feature of being able to show the next answer based on their answer from the previous answer.
In funnels, what you may have to do is give them a tag I'd have to test this, but you'd have to give them a tag, based on their answer, I think, and then that could tell you.
Because in the funnel itself, it's based on whether they've, completed the funnel or whether they meet the condition.
Right?
And I believe we do survey answers.
That was the one thing I wanted to check-in real time with you, is that we do survey answers as a condition so that you won't have to say that they got a tag based on their answer.
You just say, hey.
They answered yes.
But I I just I don't wanna quote myself on that.
And what I can even do is I could check it after this call, if this is still not going on and I'm able to get into it, I can check it and put it in the follow-up too, so that you have it.
But I believe yes.
Because we can choose, on the conditions.
There should be custom field options from the survey, but I'll triple check for you just in case.
Yeah.
So it can sort of read the answers that they put in, like, the format or whatever.
Right.
Right.
Well, we have that option on the actual survey itself, which is really cool.
Like, it can it can say, oh, they chose this answer, and now you're saying when they choose this answer, take them to this question, or when they choose this answer, take them to this question.
I believe that same condition of, like, if they choose this answer, take them to this branch in the conditional split is available.
I just have to double check that.
But, that yeah.
And that way, it's based on whether they chose yes or they chose no on the survey for something.
For example, you're sending them to different pages.
Makes sense.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm I'm just eyeing it cautiously.
Like, can I no?
See, normally, what I do is I'll change browsers, but I don't wanna do that when I'm on a call with you guys because it's a whole thing.
So without going into the funnel, is there anything else that's coming to mind for you guys that I can, just answer questions?
I was wondering okay.
So the team I work with, we have a bunch of funnels, but they're not actually set up using the funnel tool.
It's all using page redirects and automations.
Okay.
And so we have all the automations built out, and we've just been continuing to do that.
But I guess my lately, I've just been wondering if we should maybe be switching to the funnels feature or at least try it out.
So I was wondering if you have any thoughts on, like, when it's when it's better to use the funnel feature or when it's better to just stick with page redirects and automations?
Yeah.
That's a really good question.
Well, I mean, if you've got a flow going, like, you know, whatever works best for you, you get to kinda decide after you've tried it out.
I would say the funnel feature, it's really helpful to see everything visually in one place.
That was one thing that I remember before we had the funnel feature in Simplero.
Right.
You know, everyone was doing this creating the funnels, but not in a funnel.
And they're just, like, all these separate components that you can Yeah.
It is.
I can see how it would be a lot easier especially to track conversions using the funnel feature Right.
Which is one of the main reasons why I'm thinking about switching.
But, right, we already have a system down.
We have a system down.
So it's like it's like they really wanna switch.
And what you could do is you could instead of switching everything over, you could, if you have a new campaign that you're gonna do, you could try it out with the follow feature first, kinda like your little beta test and be like Right.
Let's go.
Did we like it?
You could also try switching just one of the funnels over, to the funnel feature and see how that works.
But whatever maybe is the lowest stakes option for you, depending on how complex the funnels that you've set up already are, Might be best just to test it.
Like, you can test the waters.
You can even do, like, a really simple campaign, using the funnel feature and just see how you like it.
And that can kinda give you a gauge of, like, okay.
Maybe I maybe this is you know, I don't know.
We we probably should be using this or not.
You know?
You can kinda decide.
Yeah.
That's true.
That's yeah.
That's where we are at this point.
I'm just kinda, like, looking at the options, trying to figure out whether we wanna try it or just stick with what's working.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's the the tricky thing.
It's like you've got the system down.
You don't wanna reinvent But it looks really cool.
I know.
There's so many options.
It is a really cool feature.
It's daunting.
Yeah.
It's good that you came to the to this, workshop just because it can be daunting if you don't know how to use it.
But once you see all the steps, you're like, oh, there's actually a lot that I can do here.
It is nice to have it all there.
Yeah.
But that's a good question.
Yeah.
It'll it'll depend.
You might just wanna beta test it with, like, a smaller soft launch or something, and just see how it goes.
Yeah.
Because the other thing is that we do a lot of tagging.
So Mhmm.
We have to have a lot of triggers set up for the tags if they're not just a part of the automation.
Right.
Okay.
Oh, yeah.
That's so you've got triggers, you've got the tags, you've got the automations.
Yeah.
Because in in the funnel, again, kinda like I mentioned, the automations are already not they're not part of the funnel feature.
Right.
They're still just connected to the components of the funnel.
So that part probably wouldn't be a huge jump from what you're already doing.
Mhmm.
It would more just be, like, the different things you're using triggers and tags for could be placed with, like, a funnel step that does that already.
Yeah.
It could be tricky.
It just depends.
I haven't seen your funnels.
I'm not sure how complex you have them, but it might depend on, yeah, benefits and and cost and benefits of Yeah.
And it could be a learning curve, so that's why it's good to probably test the waters first and see.
And then from there, if you love it, it might just be like smooth sailing.
And you'd be like, oh, yeah.
We want funnels.
We'll just do it all in the funnels.
But, you know, you could kinda see for yourself how it would be.
Yeah.
I'm gonna have to try it out.
I've been putting it off, but I was like, I eventually need to try this.
Yeah.
Eventually, I need to get it there.
Yeah.
It's one of those things.
I definitely recommend both of you, to play around with funnels if you haven't already.
Like, even just creating something, and maybe you're not even gonna put it out there yet, but you're just creating something to see how it works.
It it helps you get familiar with the feature.
So I definitely recommend doing that at least just to kinda test how it feels using it.
And you might find that you really love it.
So we'll then you'll never know.
But, yeah, good questions.
