Media Files Settings

Updated Dec 21, 2025

You can find the settings for your media files under Settings -> Media Files. The settings have different sections:

Transcripts

  • Automatically transcribe all new uploaded videos and audios: You can enable transcribing all your new uploaded content automatically. Choose your:
    • Default language
    • Main Transcription keywords: These are uncommon words likely to appear in videos and audios to be transcribed, for example, proper names, product names, place names, and industry-specific terms. Insert one term per line.
  • Show auto-generated subtitles in player
  • Default video subtitles (Closed Captions) to on: This is so videos show with subtitles by default

Audio enhancement

If you turn this toggle on, we will do a EBU R128 Loudness Normalization, which is the standard used in broadcasting to get you the best possible audio quality, regardless of the quality of the files you upload.

It will remove noise and improve the audio clarity in the new community experience.

Attachments

To limit the size of attachments that your members can upload to your account. For example, when submitting content through worksheets or in comments.

Advanced settings

If you turn the option on to automatically remove video media file revisions after 1 week , Simplero will delete your old video files after you decide to replace them. This is so they don't use space in your account.
