Search, Filter, and Save Views
Search Are you looking for a specific user in your account? Maybe you’re looking for a specific broadcast? In the upper right-hand corner of your Simplero Dashboard, you will always see the Search field.  Test it out and type in the name of a person, or a few words you may have used in a subject line at some point and you will quickly see everything that meets that criteria pop up: You can also narrow your searches by searching in specific areas of your account.  Search for contact - A couple of ways you can search: Select Contacts from your Simplero Dashboard Select the All contacts tab: Simply type the name in the Search field: If you need to filter contacts by a Tag or a Segment, press the Toggle Sidebar icon and select the Tag(s) and/or Segment(s) from the column on the left: Select Sales from your Simplero Dashboard Select the Purchases tab: Simply type the name in the Search field: Filter The last option you have is to search within specific areas of your accounts and then save those filtered views or searches. This can be done pretty much in any area such as the Lists, Contacts, Support Tickets, Products, Purchases, etc. To do this: Go to any of your pages (e.g. Products, Lists, etc.) Either select the Filter icon or type the keywords in the Search field: Under Products, you can press the Toggle Sidebar icon to filter by products that have a certain Label or give access to certain Site(s): Save Views If you want to save this Search/Filtered view - simply select the three grey dots, choose Save view from the dropdown and enter the name: Give a name to the new saved view Check the Private to me box if you’d like it to be private to your user and not available to all admins in your account. Press the Save button Or you can replace an existing view instead of saving a new one by pressing the Replace button: Add/Remove Columns Every table in Simplero shows a default set of columns depending on which info might be the most common for each section. However, you can add or remove columns of data if you'd like too. Click on the Columns icon Use the checkboxes to choose which columns to make visible Drag the different columns up and down to modify the order they’re displayed at Click on Update to save the changes: Reorder your table views We’ve showed you how to save a view. Now you can also reorder them so you can choose which view to have available first whenever you visit the table. Click on the three grey dots on the right side of the menu and choose Reorder views from the dropdown: Drag the views up and down in the desired order, then save:

Seeing What Your Customers Sees
Sometimes your customers may have trouble finding where to manage their subscriptions, update payment details,  find their affiliate dashboard, reach their worksheet responses, or edit their profile information. The good news: everything they need is already available in their own Simplero account — and you can easily grab the right links to help them out. This guide walks you through how to find and share the right pages with your customer. Viewing a Customer’s Subscription Management Page Viewing a Customer’s Purchase Page (for Payment Info) Viewing an Affiliate’s Dashboard Viewing a Customer’s Worksheet Responses Viewing a Customer’s Subscription Management Page This is where customers can: Manage what emails and lists they’re subscribed to Unsubscribe or re-subscribe Update editable custom fields (if you’ve allowed them) Here’s how to find it: From your Simplero Admin Dashboard, click Contacts in the main navigation. In your contact list, search for the customer’s name or email. Click their name to open their contact record. Once you’re in the contact record, hover over their avatar (profile image) in the top right corner. You’ll see a small tooltip that says “See their subscription management page.” Click the avatar to open their Subscription Management Page. From here, you can: Copy the full URL from your browser’s address bar and share it directly with the customer. This link takes them straight to their subscription settings. ✅ Tip: If you’ve set up editable custom fields, this is also where they can update that info. Viewing a Customer’s Purchase Page (for Payment Info) If your customer needs to update a payment method or manage a subscription payment, you can send them a direct link to their purchase. Here’s how to find it: In the customer’s contact record, scroll down to the Purchases section. Find the specific purchase you want to help them with, and click to open it. Once you’re inside the purchase summary, look just under the avatar — you’ll see three links: See as → Opens the customer’s view of the purchase page Email → Emails the purchase link to the customer Manage → Opens the payment management page directly What each link does: See as: Opens the customer’s main purchase page, which also includes a “Manage Payment” option. Email: Sends them a link to their purchase page via email automatically. Manage: Takes you to the payment management screen — where they can add, update, or change their payment method (or fix a failed payment). If the customer says they didn’t receive the email, you can always copy the URL from your browser and send it to them manually. Viewing an Affiliate’s Dashboard If you need to help one of your affiliates access their dashboard or confirm what they can see, you can open that view from your admin account. Here’s how: From your main Simplero navigation, go to Marketing → Affiliate Programs. Under the program you’re managing, click on the number of affiliates — that opens the affiliate list. Find the affiliate you want to view and click their name: Then click the Affiliate's name next to their avatar in the top right of the page. This opens their Affiliate Dashboard — the same view they see. Affiliate's dashboard as the customer sees it:  You can copy the link from your browser and share it with them if needed. Viewing a Customer’s Worksheet Responses You can also see a customer’s worksheets exactly as they do. Here’s how: Go to the customer’s contact record, and scroll to the section titled Worksheet Responses. Click on the worksheet title to open it. Inside the worksheet view, look to the right under the avatar and click “See as.” That opens the customer’s version of the worksheet — complete with their responses and what they have access to. You can copy that link if you need to share it with them. Quick Recap Subscription page: Hover over their avatar in the contact record → “See their subscription management page.” Payment info: Open a purchase → use the Manage link. Affiliate dashboard: Go to Marketing → Affiliate Programs → Open the affiliate's summary → click affiliate’s name. Worksheets: From contact record → Worksheet Responses → Open the worksheet → “See as.”

Bulk Actions
You can select multiple contacts and perform a single action on them at one time. You can do that from any table in Simplero, such as your list of subscribers or product participants, but you will find the biggest number of actions on the Contacts screen.  Go to your Contacts - Contacts Check the boxes next to the names of the contacts or select the top box to select all the contacts showing on the screen. You can also select all contacts on the table on the link that shows up right after checking the top box. Click on the Select action...  You can search or scroll down to select the action you desire

Merging Duplicate Contacts
Managing your contact list can be cumbersome but not with Simplero. When a customer uses the same email for registering to your list(s) or purchasing your product(s) then those lists and products will all appear under the same contact. Making it simple for you to see all the ways your lead or customer is connected to you. However, what if they use a different email address? If your customers are signing up with different emails each time then they appear in your contacts as a different contact, this can make your life a little crazy when you are looking for them in your system. This guide will show you how to merge the contacts together and make your contact list easier to manage.  Here is how to do it Select Contacts from your Simplero Dashboard Select All Contacts from the dropdown menu Go to the Search field and type your customer's name  Once you perform the search, you'll see your customer's name with different email addresses on the list. Click on each contact file that comes up for that customer to determine which one you want to merge everything into. Generally, it helps if you know which Simpero ID the customer wants to use. (Note: It is important, even if you know which one you want to use as their final contact file, you still want to click on each file so that they all show in your list of Recently viewed Contacts) Once you have clicked on each contact file for that customer, click on the one you want to merge everything into.  On the right-hand side of the page, scroll down to the bottom right corner where you see "Recently viewed contacts".  In the Recently Viewed Contacts section, you will see the list of other email addresses for the same contact that you clicked on in step 5. You will see a  "Merge" icon next to each contact file. Click the Merge icon next to each contact file, and the information from it will be merged into the file you currently have open on your screen. The contact that has been merged will automatically be deleted. What gets merged when merging a contact? The information below for both contacts gets merged into one: Affiliate information, including clicks Purchases (including charges, payment methods, transactions, etc) Automation flows Notes on contact Access to membership sites and courses - They will be able to access using  Email deliveries Worksheet responses Support tickets Events they are a participant at Tags Points Currently not being merged, but we are working on it - Surveys. Note: The Simplero ID of both contacts does not get merged. Each contact's Simplero ID is unique and personal, and it can only be changed by the owner of the email (you need access to the email itself to confirm the merge). If your customers want to also merge their ID, you can send them the instructions on this End User Manual.

Who Counts as an active contact
Who Counts as an active Contact (for billing purposes)? Contacts who meet one or more of these 6 criteria count as an active contact (for billing purposes) in your Simplero account: Contacts who have active purchases (the purchaser), whether it's free or paid... we need to keep these around for accounting. Contacts who are participants of an active purchase. Contacts actively subscribed to a list.  Contacts currently in an automation (if they've completed it, they don't count). Contacts that have a tag. (excluding the "GDPR consent" tag) Contacts that are an affiliate. We don't count contacts that have asked us never to contact them ("Do not contact"). We don't count them if they are archived either.  Each contact only counts once as a contact no matter how many purchases, lists, automation, or tags they have (assuming they are using the same email address each time). If you have a duplicate contact, then it would count for each of the contact records so it will be beneficial to merge any duplicates that you find. Read more about merging contacts in our guide here. To filter contacts by Active/Inactive, navigate to your Contacts page >> Filter by Active: You can view plans here to see how many contacts are included in your plan or check out Plan and Billing under Settings from your Simplero Dashboard.

Do not Contact
How "Do Not Contact" Works Customers can choose to ask us not to contact them again. It's like a "kill-switch" for all communications, whether for lists, products, affiliate programs, or anything else, and counts for all forms of communication, including broadcast, auto-response, or text message. Do Not Contact:  Doesn't include transactional emails like invoices, password resets, etc., but it does cover all broadcasts and emails. Doesn't actually unsubscribe people from anything; it just stops all the emails and texts. If a contact chooses to switch back to "Do Contact," all their subscriptions will be intact as they left them, and emails and texts will pick back up. We need this feature because it makes it easier for people to unsubscribe in one go if they're on multiple lists, products, etc., and you're sending emails or texts to multiple lists, products, etc. We also use this feature because as we add tagging and segmentation, it's effectively the only way for people to opt-out. GDPR notice for those doing business in the EU: Please keep in mind when using triggers based on customer actions that you comply with GDPR because actions such as these may violate rules in regards to consent and profiling. When you add someone to your house list after the purchase of a product, it's best practice to use the consent checkbox instead of a trigger that does it automatically. You can do the same thing on a list opt-in to a sub-list by using a custom checkbox asking for consent and then adding a trigger to that custom form field that adds a person to the house list. This message does not constitute legal advice. If you have a question about compliance, please consult a lawyer.  Why does my contact show as Do not contact? Do not contact will be turned on when: A contact is unsubscribing and chooses to never be contacted again If the email you send to the contact keeps bouncing or has a hard bounce. You can see that in Emails sent on the contact information page If you chose to turn it on manually for the contact, it will show on the contact activities as well as showing the userID of the admin who did so: If the contact has been set to Do not contact by mistake, you can simply click the button on your contacts information page and turn it to Off. How to see, why the contact has Do not contact turned on Go to your Contacts here  Click on the name of the contact to go to the Contact information page Scroll down and go through Emails sent and activities for more information

Archived Contacts
Accessing Archived Contacts You can access your archived contacts from the top right corner of your contacts page: Archived Contacts   In your contacts, you’re able to archive your contacts as well as unarchive them. In the top right corner, there is an option to archive all of your unengaged contacts: You can mark a contact archived/unarchived using the "Select action" dropdown on the contacts list until the ‘list hygiene’ option OR by by searching directly: You can also do so directly inside of the contact record via the menu in the … icon in the top right corner in the contact record: When contact is archived/unarchived, we record activities for those actions and anything that has been paused as a result of this action: When a contact is archived, Simplero will pause any flows and suspend all subscriptions. List Subscriptions and automation flows will resume when unarchived. This will also show on the contact record: Notes: You can't archive contacts that have either logged into a site in the last 30 days or have active purchases. Archived contacts are not included in the number of contacts we bill you for. As such, you can't email archived contacts (only system emails can be sent to an archived contact). Archived contacts will automatically unarchive if: they subscribe to one of your lists purchase one of your products register to an event

Contact Cleanup
Active Contacts and Contact Clean-Up If you have been through your not-engaged contacts and have already gone the extra mile to retarget those possible leads but there are still some contacts you haven't heard back from, it might be time to consider cleaning up those contacts you might be getting billed for and that, at the end of the day, are not returning any value to your business.  The first step will be to locate which contacts are counting towards your Plan contacts limit, we call them Active contacts. What is an Active contact in Simplero? Contacts who meet one or more of these 6 criteria count as an active contact (for billing purposes) in your Simplero account: Contacts who have active purchases (the purchaser), whether it's free or paid... we need to keep these around for accounting. Contacts who are participants of an active purchase. Contacts actively subscribed to a list.  Contacts currently in an automation (if they've completed it, they don't count). Contacts that have a tag. (excluding the "GDPR consent" tag) Contacts that are an affiliate. Contacts that are not archived. You will be able to find out who is an active contact on your account on the Contact page: To clean up your inactive contacts as a group (without doing it by individual contact) Simplero has a built-in functionality that will guide you through the process. It's called Cleanup. Please read the next points carefully: This contact cleanup will delete people who are unconfirmed to your lists (if they meet all the other criteria also). If you don't want unconfirmed contacts to be deleted, tag them with something before you run the cleanup, and then DON"T remove tags during the cleanup process. We'll point this out further in this guide. You may want to first go through your lists and unsubscribe inactive users and remove them from your affiliate program.  You can't remove purchasers from products because their information is needed for accounting purposes.  If you have given someone access to a membership site directly (not through a product purchase), then the cleanup will remove them ONLY IF they have none of the other affiliations mentioned above (no tags, no subscriptions, etc).  This will only delete contacts who have no active connection to any products, are not active in any automations, are not actively subscribed to any lists, and don't have any tags.  Contacts who have a connection to an inactive product can also be deleted, but they will be anonymized to maintain the purchase information for your records.  If contacts have active product purchases, they cannot be deleted. Purchases will need to be canceled first. When you're ready:  Navigate to Contacts >> All contacts from your Simplero Dashboard.  Select the three dots on the top right corner and Cleanup... button in the dropdown. The Clean up contacts popup will be prompted. You'll have the option to archive all inactive contacts in bulk. Given the case you have contacts that are not active in an automation, product or list subscription but they are still tagged, you’ll have the ability to archive them so they don’t count towards your billing threshold. Learn more about archived contacts here. Delete inactive contacts button to delete the inactive contacts. Note: This action will perform in the background as soon as you select this option. This process will reduce the number of contacts that count toward your allowed limit in Simplero. Contacts included in your Simplero Plan Once you've finished cleaning up your inactive contacts in your account, you may need to update your plan so that you pay for your active contacts only. Find your current active contacts on your Plan and Billing Plan page. Check that your Plan includes the current number of active contacts in your account, and downgrade to a lower contacts tier if needed: You can also delete products, delete membership sites, and delete lists.

Creating a Personalized Log in Email
What does the Default Login email look like? When you give access to content using a list or a product, Simplero will send your contacts an email by default. This email includes their Simplero login ID and temporary password. It includes (see each number in the screenshot below): Your logo - As defined in your account settings - Logos page Personalized text - Which you can define in your account settings - product page The contact's Simplero ID and password (unique for each email) - See more information on Simplero IDs in this guide Link to the site you are giving them access to Link to their Simplero Dashboard How can I create my personalized Login Email? If you don't want your customers to receive Simplero's default email, and prefer to create one yourself. You can do that too! This is often less confusing for your customers. Follow the steps below: Go to your product Go to Settings - Options Turn the toggle "Don't email participant(s) about how to access their content" on.     Create your personalized auto-response -  Go to your settings - Auto-responses Add a new auto-response - Usually, you will want it to send on day 0 (aka as soon as they buy the product or sign up to the list) When writing the auto response, use the { button to include personalizations: Choose the Simplero ID and the generated password. This will automatically add their own ID and password when the email is sent.  The email will look something like this: Optional but recommended - Add a button that links to your site or course. To do that, select the text that you want to convert to a button and click the link icon.  In the pop-up, choose the site or course you want to point to and select the checkbox "display as a button" If you want the button to link directly to Simplero without them having to enter their username and email to log in, choose the option Make this a magic login link: Done! Your email will look similar to this:
