Default Account Currency

Your Simplero account has one primary currency—this should match the currency of your bank account. This is the currency we use to calculate and display your revenue across your dashboard and reports.

You can also add additional currencies to quote prices in multiple currencies (Quoting in Multiple Currencies -->).To do that, you will need to first set up your additional currencies at the account level and then add them to your price. 

How to Set Up Your Primary and Additional Currencies

• From your Simplero Dashboard, click on Settings.
• Select the Account tab.
• Scroll down to the Currencies section.
• Choose your Primary Currency from the dropdown menu.

• Click + Add currency to include any additional currencies you want to offer. (Quoting in Multiple Currencies -->)
• Select the currency from the dropdown and click Add currency.
  

Note: Once there are purchases made in your primary currency, this cannot be changed. 

How to Set Prices in Additional Currencies

• Go to Sales > Products from your Simplero Dashboard.
• Select the product you want to edit.
• Click the Prices tab.
• Select the price you want to convert.
• Scroll to the Installments section.
• For each amount, you can add a value in your additional currency.
  • Simplero will show the converted equivalent, making it easier to set accurate pricing.

You will see the conversion before saving: 

At checkout, your customers will:

• Be able to choose a currency.
• See the prices displayed in their selected currency.

Setting a Default Currency for a Product

If you're selling to a specific audience that uses a particular currency, you can override the default account currency for that product:

1. Open the product.
2. Go to the Configure tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and find Override default currency.
4. Toggle it on, select your preferred currency, and save your changes.

Note: You must add the currency under Account Settings first before it appears as an option here.

Important Notes

• Once a purchase is completed, the currency cannot be changed.
• Even if a currency is not explicitly listed, most customers can pay in their local currency, and their bank or PayPal will handle the conversion.
• Even when you choose to override the default currency, the account currency will always show as an option
