Campaign and Discount Pricing
Discounts and Campaigns
Often times in business there is a desire to reward long time customers, early buyers, or people purchasing for themselves and friends. There are so many reasons a business owner may want to offer a discount.
With Simplero we have different options for creating special price rates. We offer campaign pricing, which you would want to use in the case of offering an early bird registration rate. We off coupons which can be product specific or global coupons which can be used across your product catalog. And we offer secret pricing so that you can set up unique prices points for individuals or group of individuals.
In this guide we show you how to set up different types of discounted pricing options to hep you delight your customers into purchasing from you.
Campaign pricing such as Early Bird or Fast mover
1. Locate the product you want to offer the price on
2. Go to the prices tab within the product
3. Add a list price
4. Include all your price settings (name, purchase type, amount)
5. Scroll down to availability
6. Check the box that reads "Campaign price, only for a limited period of time"
7. Select the normal list price that this early bird price is replacing from the drop down
8. Finish filling in any other relevant fields to your list price and save
Now preview your order form. Where it shows pricing it show the original price as crossed out and your new campaign price replacing it. It will look like this until the date you choose in the availability box upon creation.
Discounts for Buying Multiple Seats
Before you can set up your price you must make sure your order form has the option to allow multiple seat purchases. You may also want to check out this guide on multi user pricing to understand what information your purchaser will need.

2. Select Order Form

4. Complete the field "Maximum number of participants per purchase"

Setting up the discount for multiple seat purchases:

Secret Prices and Coupon Codes
Adding a secret price

2. Go to the prices tab within the product
3. Add a Secret price (this is the second section on the screen)
4. Give your price a name
5. Select price type
6. complete all relevant fields just as when adding a list price
7. Select the blue create price button at the bottom
The price is now set-up however it is not available via your product order form. You will need to grab the link from the pricing screen.
Coupon Codes
1. Locate the product you want to offer the price on
2. Go to the prices tab within the product
3. Add a coupon code (this is the third section on the screen)
4. Give your price a name
5. Select price type
6. complete all relevant fields just as when adding a list price
7. In the "Access" section about 1/2 down type in your coupon code or select the white "Generate Code" button for Simplero to assign one.
8. Select the blue create price button.
To use this, your customers will paste in the coupon code you provide into the order form and then price will change from whatever list price is selected to the price you typed in on the coupon code.
Note that the coupon code box only shows when there is an available coupon.
Can I make a price/coupon that's only valid x days after someone subscribed?
Here's how you can do it.
- Create the secret/coupon price you want to offer
- Insert a link to it in an auto-response or broadcast
- Click "Edit" next to the link after you've saved the body, and set the link to expire x hours/days after the email is sent
That way, the link in the email will only be valid for the given time.
The underlying link will still work, so if they clicked on it, then saved the link, it'll still work for them.
But then again, they could also just sign up for the list again with another email address. So there's that.
The idea here is not to create a bullet-proof system, but to create an incentive to buy while they're hot.
