In Simplero, you can set up timers, which you can then use all across the platform.

In this guide, we go over two of the most common use cases:

  • Limited-time offer-> Allows your customers to sign up for a list for a special offer for a limited time.
  • Webinar replay access->  Allows your customers to opt-in and pick when they’re ready to consume the replay.

Limited-time offer

Allows your customers to sign up for a list for a special offer for a limited time. In this example, they have the offer available for 1 week before it expires.

Step 1 - Create the ‘Subscribed at’ Countdown timer.

  1. Go to Admin Settings > Marketing > Countdown timers.
  2. Click on ‘Add a Countdown Timer’ on the top right.
  3. Give it an internal name, and pick ‘Subscribed at’ from the dropdown options.
  4. Create the limited-time offer list.

Step 2 - Create the limited-time offer funnel

  1. Go to Marketing -> Funnels
  2. Choose Create a new funnel
  3. First step of the funnel - Create a page that includes an opt-in to unlock the special offer.
    Note: Make sure to choose the list you’ve just created for the special offer.

  4. Create a second step of the funnel - Create a page that includes at least the following elements:

    1. A Countdown timer element
      • Pick the one you just created: Limited-time offer


    2. An Order form pop-up to purchase the product. -
      • In the advanced settings of that section, set it to Only show while the countdown is running.


    3. A Section to display an expired message.
      • In the advanced settings of the section -> Only show when the countdown has completed.

That’s it!


Webinar Replay access

Opt-in and let your audience pick when they’re ready to consume the replay.

Step 1 - Create a ‘Let user choose’ countdown.

  1. Go to Admin Settings > Marketing > Countdown timers.
  2. Click on ‘Add a Countdown Timer’ 
  3. Give it an internal name, and pick 'Let users choose from the dropdown options.
  4. Turn on the different options you’ll offer them to pick from: instant, daily, weekly... 

Step 2 - Create your webinar replay funnel.

  1. Go to Marketing -> Funnels
  2. Choose Create a new funnel
  3. Create a page as a first step of the funnel -> It should have at least:

    • An opt-in form to collect their contact details

    • A countdown input field.

  4. Create a second step of the funnel -> Create another page that should include at least:

    1. A section with a countdown timer element: this lets them know how much longer they’ll have to wait before they can watch it.

      • Choose the countdown timer you created in step 1
      • Go to the Advanced settings of the section and choose to only display this section while the countdown is running.

        • Choose "Has running timers of any of" and choose the timer we created in step 1



    1. A Replay section

      • Add the video replay
      • Go to the Advanced settings of the section to only show this section once the timer has completed
        • Choose "By countdown timer"
        • Choose the countdown timer you created in step 1

[Optional] Set up automations and triggers to start, extend, and cancel countdown timers.

You can also set up automations and triggers that allow you to:

  • Start countdown timer
  • Extend the countdown timer
  • Cancel countdown timer

For your triggers, you can also use:

  • Fire X times before/after after a countdown is completed as your trigger
