Advancing a Flow in an Automation

Sometimes it becomes necessary to move a contact from one step in an automation to the next before Simplero does it. In this guide, we will show you how to...

• Move contacts to the next step in the automation
• Moving a contact a step further in the automation

Moving to the next step (moving only 1 step ahead)

You have two options to do this. 

Option 1 -  from within the Automation:

1. Select Automation from your Simplero Dashboard

2. In the Automations tab, locate and select your automation

3. Click on Flows
   
   

4. Search for the contacts that you want to move 

5. Select the contacts

6. Click on the Continue now icon
   
   

7. The contact will now be advanced to the next step in the automation.

Option 2 - from within their contact screen:

1. Select Lists & Contacts in your Simplero Dashboard

2. Select the Contacts tab

3. Search and select the contact

4. In the Contact screen, scroll down to the Automations box 

5. Select the Continue now icon in the far right of that automation name
   
   
   

Moving a contact a step further in the automation

Sometimes you don't want them to go to the next step, but maybe several steps ahead. It is still possible to move them without them having to do each step in between.

1. Select Automation from your Simplero Dashboard

2. In the Automations tab, locate and select your automation

3. Click on Flows
   
   

4. Search for the contacts that you want to move

5. Select the contacts

6. Click on the Go to Icon
   
   
   
7. Choose the step that you want them to move to. This will only move active flows. If you want flows that are completed to restart and move to that step, toggle the Restart completed flows on. 
   
   
   
8. Done!
